Episode 004: Make Better Decisions In Order to Get Bigger Results!

After two hospitalizations and what felt like a lifetime of conflict and self-inflicted battles, Ashley was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. At 24 years old, it was a simultaneously devastating and comforting diagnosis. To finally have a name for her experience was a relief, but the diagnosis itself was heartbreaking and overwhelming. It’s one of those things you can accept and move on or deny and continue to struggle. Ashley became pregnant shortly after the doctor’s conclusion. That made it pretty easy to decide whether She was going to go down a path of acceptance or denial since it wasn’t just about her anymore. Although she decidedsheI wanted to be better for her baby & herself, being a single mom on a new medication and all the stress and struggles that accompany that journey led her to gain 80 pounds with her pregnancy!!

Fast forward five years, a husband & 2 more kids later….She was finally ready to lose all that baby weight she accumulated. Ashley may have walked out during her 6-week consultation – but she turned back around and She hasn’t looked back since. Ashley’s 31 years have taught her a lot. One of those things being that in this life, you become what you surround yourself with.

So after a lifetime of making the excuses and avoiding the things that essentially make her a better daughter, sister, mother, wife, and fellow human….she’s committed herself to her fitness and MP! She mentions finding her tribe ?
